burgundy lace dress styled two ways

I am so in LOVE with this dress!! We have a fall wedding coming up that this dress is going to be perfect for. The lace detail, high neck, and burgundy/deep wine color make this dress super stylish and on-trend...as well as being uber figure flattering. AND it's under 50 bucks! Woot! Woot! This dress is fabulous all on its own, but I have also styled it two ways for even more opportunities to pull the stunning dress out of your closet. One look is more formal, could work for the office, or to add some warmth(I'm and always cold) and the other is a little more casual, and perfect for fall family pictures. Thanks so much for stopping by.  Audra

Add a blush blazer to make take this dress to work or to add a little warmth for cooler fall temps. I apologize about the color differences. The sun was in and out from behind the clouds.

Give more casual vibes by paring with a chambray shirt and brown booties.

chambray dress/tunic with black skinny jeans and cowboy boots. fall outfit.

I so enjoyed wearing this chambray tunic this spring/summer so I am styling it up for fall and maybe loving it even more with a blanket scarf and felt hat!! Wearing black skinny jeans and cowboy boots has been a go to combo lately! I like the contrast of the black with the worn in brown leather...perfection!! Toping this look off with my fringe bag is very on trend and adds to western feel of this outfit!  Thanks so much for stopping by. Audra

boho top and cowboy boots outfit. fall floral. fringe bag.

I was immediately drawn to this dark floral top even though its a bit outside of what I typically purchase. I am loving the dark floral trend for fall!! It feels a little more edgy to me, and more my style than typical floral tops. The boho fit of this adorable top is however not something I have a lot of, so I brought her home and styled the top several ways to ensure I would really wear it....AND I just adore it. Stay tune for another look featuring this bell sleeve top soon! Boho tops and cowboy boots pair so lovely together, and are perfect for fall!! The dark wash skinny jeans I am also just in LOVE with! They look and feel so much more expensive than the 20 bucks I paid for them.  I was in desperate need of a new pair of dark skinnies as my other pair are faded and worn, and had pretty much decided to bite the bullet on a much more expensive option as I had been striking out with the many less expensive jeans I had tried over the last several months!! Woot! Woot! You need these jeans!! Links below. Thanks so much for stopping by. Audra

denim skirt with brown booties and cream crochet lace sweater

Something about a denim skirt that makes me think of fall! Maybe because it pairs so perfectly with boots of any style! I am really digging this pencil skirt version which is very figure flattering and a little more sophisticated then the denim skirts I rocked in college that barely covered my tush! I love neutral tones for fall as well because they feel so classic and warm.  Try to find a skirt with a higher rise to hold in the mush, and pair it with a more cropped, looser fitting sweater. This will make you look longer and help hide the tummy! I may, or may not have ate a huge bowl of pasta before taking these pics!! Thanks so much for stopping by. Audra

8 school run capsule wardrobe / stay at home mom outfit ideas

My son started kindergarten last year, and after spending the last five years at home with him I was a little worried about being on a tight schedule of drop offs and pick ups. I was worried because... I am not a morning person, tend to run 5-10 minutes late, and have been know to change my outfit multiple times before leaving the house. Also, because I  was going to be walking my son into school every morning and seeing other parents, faculty, and staff!! I thought it was important to make a good impression on the people I was now leaving in charge of my baby boy, and not a disheveled mess. Even if I really feel like one most mornings!! SO, my son is now in first grade and I am happy to report I have overcome the tendencies I mentioned above that always seemed to make me late. Mainly due what I call my "mom on duty style", I call it this because I draw some inspiration from celebrities/models who seem to have it down when putting together their casually, cool looks which commonly is referred to as "model off duty style"...funny, right?!? OK, so maybe only mildly! Anyways, I wanted something that was going to look put together for the bit of time I am out of the house every day, but still uber comfortable for the glamorous life of stay at home mom. I keep the items pictured above all hanging together in the front section of my closet. These items are truly all interchangeable with the other items, and can quickly be grabbed, thrown on, and out the door in a flash. I then pair whatever I have managed to put on with a cool hat, a nice bag, shades, and scarf.  These items pull to the whole look together and up the coolness factor a few points. I put together eight outfits using the above items(some similar) that would work for mild temps(early fall/spring), but truly the sky is the limit on the combinations that could be created from these items. You probably already have a lot of these items hanging in your closet!!, and if not...you should because they are wardrobe staples that will be in style for years to come!
