The Look for Less: Hunter Inspired Red Wellies, Ripped Skinnies, Oversized Sweater, Blanket Scarf, & Pom Hat.

Several years ago, I noticed on Pinterest so many super cute outfits with Hunter rain boots. I mean, no self respecting fashion blogger or fashionista alike doesn't own at least one pair...probably more than one! After searching online for them I was bummed! $150?!?, really...for uninsulated rubber boots(cue my very practical parent's voices in my head)?? I use my rubber boots to take care of my fur babies...like in mud and stuff! People in the mid-west sometimes refer to their work boots as "shit kickers"! Wellies sound so much nicer! Somewhere along my search I stumbled upon the Target version and I was pumped. There's a whole review (on Target.com) a person does comparing the Target version to the Hunter ones she owns where she states they are pretty much identical! Ok, so then I started having this thought "IS IT THE LOOK OR THE LABEL?". Which led me to agonize over which to purchase. I was even ready to buy both, the Target ones to work in and the Hunter ones to be fancy in. Silly, I know. With all this first world drama, I ended up with the Target boots! Yes, I could've bought the Hunter boots to use for both purposes as well, but I was worried they would get ruined. I purchased my Target wellies on sale for less than $30. I have had them for several years. They are worn out, but I wear them a lot! More to do chores in than anything else. I have really enjoyed them. Soooooo, this conversation is getting ready to start over...do I replace them with Hunter wellies or Target? I missed out on when Nordstrom was price matching Costco. Sigh. 

My head to toe look is less than $100!

• Pom Hat - Wal-Mart $5.97. In stores right now! There were lots of fabulous colors to pick from!
• Blanket Scarf - Wal-Mart $8.97. In stores now!
• Striped Sweater - Similar. I picked mine up at H&M this Fall from the clearance rack in couple sizes bigger to fit oversized.
• Sweater - Similar style in solid blue.
• Plaid Tunic Shirt - H&M
• Ripped Skinnies - Old Navy
• My Wellies - Gotta love Target!
• Hunter Rain Boots - The REAL thing!
